Christopher Columbus Neil Armstrong Born in Genoa, Northern Italy. 1451 Born in Ohio, United States of America. 1930 Vocabulary August 3rd 1492 Three ships called the Santa Maria, the Nina and the Pinta sailed west. continent A very large area of land, that is made of several countries. United States scientists begin making plans for a moon landing and designed a new spacecraft called Apollo. 1967 ocean One of the very large areas of sea on the Earth s surface.
