The Essence of Jesus and Discipleship

Introduction:
Practicing the Way of
Jesus
Col 2:9-10
Col 2:9-10 NIV
9
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity
lives in bodily form,
10
and in Christ you have been brought to
fullness. He is the head over every power
and authority.
Col 1:15-20
15
 Christ is the visible image
of the invisible God. He
existed before anything was
created and is supreme over
all creation,
16
 for through him God
created everything in the
heavenly realms and on
earth.
17
 He existed before
anything else, and he holds
all creation together.
18
Christ is also the head of the
church, which is his body. So he
is first in everything.
19
For God in all his fullness
was pleased to live in Christ,
20
and through him God
reconciled everything to
himself. He made peace
with everything in heaven
and on earth by means of
Christ’s blood on the cross.
John 10:10
I
have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.
For Christians, the spiritual journey is at
the core of the human journey.
We believe that the ultimate fulfillment
of our humanity is found in union with
God through Christ.
