The Confession of Peter in Caesarea Philippi
Within the setting of Caesarea Philippi, Jesus questions His disciples about His identity, leading to Peter's profound declaration of faith in Him as the Christ, the Son of God. This pivotal moment underscores Peter as the foundation of the church and emphasizes the unshakable strength believers find in Christ as the cornerstone of their faith, echoing Old Testament prophecies. The imagery of Peter as a living stone and the church as a spiritual house further emphasizes the unity and holiness of believers in Christ.
