The Byzantine Empire: Society, Achievements, and Decline
The Byzantine Empire, established in 527 A.C, was marked by religious conflicts and military advancements. The society was patriarchal, centered around Christianity, and had a hierarchical structure. The empire made significant progress in weaponry and trade, although frequent battles ensued. Despite their defensive strategies, the empire faced challenges from the Seljuk Turks, ultimately leading to their downfall during the Crusades.

Byzantine By: Ana Gutierrez,Aaron Pacheco,Robert Speer
Background of Byzantine Byzantine was established in (527 A.C-565 A.C). Byzantine was split because of different religion. Byzantine lasted longer than the Romes in the war.
Society The Byzantine empire was a patriarch. Believed that God had commanded their state to solely believe in christianity. Had a hierarchy.
Advances/Achievements They made advancements in weaponry, Grenades and their army. They were also trading and made a lot of gold but, because of that fact they were fighting frequently.
They used these cannons to defend their walls. We had flamethrowers to fight against our enemies.
Declin e The Byzantine empire s greatest challenges was from the Seljuk Turks. Byzantine want to Europe for military aid which led to the crusade and eventually led to the downfall of the Byzantine empire.
