TEACHING AND LEARNING CONFERENCE 2018 Building a culture of excellence
So what is Archer conference? A yearly event to focus on our professional development as classroom practitioners. It s a chance for us to stop, pause and reflect on our teaching practice. Reflect on teaching and learning in our classrooms, department areas and whole school. Share resources and ideas that we can implement in our lessons.
Outcomes To consult on, review and develop the Teaching, Learning, Assessment & Feedback Policy for September 2018. To develop departmental development plan priorities in advance of September. To secure a shared understanding of the Ofsted agenda and being inspection ready. To share a range of teaching and learning strategies to impact on student engagement and progress in the classroom.

What is your recipe for an perfect lesson? Spend 5 minutes to think of the 5 ingredients that go into making your perfect lesson. Darren s recipe list Write these down and share with your departments. A dollop of student led learning. A cup full of A4L. A spoonful of teacher input. A smidgen of sarcasm. Aims and objectives To share a range of teaching and learning strategies to impact on student engagement and progress in the classroom. To provide training on pedagogy to enable a strategic approach to whole school priorities.
Workshop Carousel On a rotation basis. Staff will visit two workshops-40 minutes per workshop Staff have been allotted workshops -swaps can be made but swaps must be kept within a department.
