SOLARIS is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization in Iceland that aims to improve the lives of refugees and asylum seekers by responding to emergencies, advocating for policy changes, and fighting for their rights. Founded by Sema Erla Serdar, the organization recently received support in Finland, where a donation drive was conducted to provide warm winter clothes and shoes. The community rallied together by creating posters, sending emails, collecting, sorting, and delivering the donations to SOLARIS.

TAKING ACTION SOLARIS

Whatis SOLARIS? a non-profithumanitarianaidorganisationfor refugees and asylumseekers in Iceland. aims to work in cooperation with the public, authorities and other organisations who work towards the same goals.

The purpose of SOLARIS is to: Respond to the emergency of refugees and asylum seekers in Iceland who live in poor conditions in many residence centres. Rush for changes in law, policy and actions when it comes to refugees and asylum seekers. Fight for improvements when it comes to access to necessary services, inclusion and the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.
