OBJECTIVE
 
To sensitize and educate the workers and the
management on how to eliminate gender-based
violence and harassment at the workplace.
To create awareness on how to handle GBV &
harassment at the workplace.

Total number of meetings – 
Ten (10)
Number of people reached – 
500
 – the union was able to negotiate a
clause in the CBA with a company called Solpia (K) Ltd on GBV &
Harassment and signed the CBA which was registered at
Employment & Labour Relations Court.
Over 20 workers representatives 
trained on GBV and harassment.

workers through the ToT

WAYFORWARD
 
The study circle group will continue creating awareness on
GBV.
The study circle will do a baseline survey to in both formal
and informal to identify the types of GBV and nature.
Identity the concerned offices to handle the GBV issues.
Look for partners to support the union in carrying out the
above activities.
Plan to see the decision makers on GBV & Harassment.

Sensitization and educational sessions were conducted by KUHABWO to address gender-based violence and harassment issues at the workplace. These sessions led to the negotiation of a clause in the CBA with a company, training of workers' representatives, and the development of popular education materials. The outcomes included increased awareness, advocacy efforts, and plans for future activities such as baseline surveys and seeking support from partners.
