Strategies for Small Group VBS with Social Distancing in the Church Four Things to Consider: 1. Facility Is your facility ready? PPE, sanitize, social distancing 2. Date When?: Late Summer, Fall Break, Sundays or Wednesday nights once school starts, weekend 3. Schedule How long?: 1 day, 4 days, weekend, etc. 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hours, etc. Rotations? 4. Participants Limit the number of participants? Kids coming without parents? Family VBS with parents PPE, social distancing, temperature checks Leading VBS in the Days of Social Distancing
Strategies for Small Group VBS with Social Distancing in the Church Traditional Summer VBS Choose a date later in the summer Fewer days, shorter hours Small classrooms of 10-15 children Stay in individual classrooms, have rotations come to rooms No combined worship rally or snack time (bring food to them) Set health guidelines and make them known during registration Leading VBS in the Days of Social Distancing
