STAD Method for Preventing Alcohol and Drug Problems in Stockholm
The STAD method implemented in Stockholm aims to reduce violent crimes by not serving alcohol to intoxicated or underaged individuals, conflict management, and active policy work. Through efficient monitoring and sanctions by the licensing board and police, as well as collaborations with key stakeholders, including the municipality and restaurant owners, this approach has shown success in denying underaged patrons access to alcohol-serving establishments. Ongoing studies track the effectiveness of these measures over time.
