Within Parish Ministry Programs
The St. Ann Adult Religious Enrichment Committee is part of the Faith Formation ministry of the parish. The Committee coordinates speakers, video speakers, and directions on relevant religious topics. Programs are most often on Monday evenings; some are offered during the day. The goal of these activities are to improve the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith among adults. Adult Religious Enrichment Committee (AREC). Activity:Committee arranges four or five talks held Monday evenings in the Fall and Spring on an annual theme. Volunteers:Over 18. Time commitment: 5-7 committee meetings/year about 1 hour each. Activity:Serve at Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses Volunteers:Youths in 4th grade and up. Time Commitment:Attend periodic training sessions; serve on rotating basis. Altar Servers. Activity: Donate blood for use in our Northern Virginia community. Volunteers: 16 and up, at least 110 lbs. and in good health. Blood Drive. Activity: Lead a celebration of the Word in the chapel for children who have not yet received First Communion. Children s Liturgy of the Word. Volunteers: Young Adult, Adult, Seniors Time Commitment: Prepare and conduct during the 9 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses on a rotating basis. Activity: Focus is on spiritual enrichment, charitable projects, and fellowship. Open to:Catholic women ages 18 and older. Time Commitment: First Saturday of the Month, September to June, 10 am to 12 Noon (not required to attend every month). Activity:Be present for Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel Volunteers:All ages Time Commitment:A few minutes or one chosen hour on Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon; or as an occasional substitute; or on a drop-in basis. Activity:Care for our beautiful facility by performing a myriad of minor repair and maintenance tasks on St Ann's campus. Liturgical Arts & Environment Committee

Music Ministries Vocalists and instrumentalists of all ages serve at Mass, and other services, including holy days and holidays
Activity:Sings all varieties of Church music with instrumental accompaniment. Volunteers:Teen and up (parental involvement desired for teens). Contemporary Choir Time Commitment: 11 a.m. Sunday mass, by request at special events; practices every other Tuesday, 7:15 p.m. at Church. Volunteers serve as mentors, catechists, group leaders and coordinators for various programs, including Infant Baptism, Religious Education classes (Gr. K-8), Youth Ministry (Gr. 9-12); Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) ages 6 and older, Vacation Bible School, a one-week spiritual summer camp (pre-K 5). Scouting The Parish has a long tradition of scouting since 1949. Volunteer adults mentor boys and girls of the St. Ann community.
