Mapping spatial experiences in a small flat, this content describes pleasant and unpleasant places within the living space. It highlights favorite spots like a kitchen chair with a view, a cozy desk for work, and a room with enough space for activities. In contrast, it mentions bothersome areas like a cramped kitchen and a room with an uncomfortable bed placement. Isovists analysis provides insights into visibility and spatial characteristics, helping to understand the layout's impact on user experiences.

  1. Mapping Spatial Experiences (Pleasant Places) This point is my favorite chair in kitchen. My flat is really small so we have just two seats accordly to the space but from this point I can see view behind the window and also I can have a look at my meal is getting ready. Here is my lovely desk with daylight access. The desk is located in the way that I'm looking at the white wall (behind the computer screen) so I don'tsee any distractionduring the work. like X dislike open X closed large X small simple X complex ordered X chaotic confusing X comprehensible attractive X unattractive bright X dark interesting X boring like X dislike open X closed large X small PP1 simple X complex ordered X chaotic confusing X comprehensible attractive X unattractive bright X dark interesting X boring PP2 PP3 like X dislike open X closed large X small simple X complex ordered X chaotic I like this place in the middle of my room. More than one person cannot prepare their own meals in the kitchen at the same someonehas to wait. large X small This place gives me a strange feeling. I walk into a room from a tight space and the first thing I see is a bed, and usually I can't go to bed right away. 9. Comparing Isovist properties of pleasant and unpleasant places On average higher in the unpleasant places probably because I feel more comfortable in a smaller area. As in example, I have the values almost the same so the compactness of the visual space seems to not bother me! On average higher in the unpleasant places which makes me a little bit suprise but maybe I to soft with expressing negative things in room. The smallest number is in the pleasant places probably because I would rather stay in the middle of the room than close to its border. The min radial value oscillates in similar intervals, not particularly different from each other. Visibility Analysis Exercise | First Name Last Name -> use Master Slide to change! 10. Correlating Isovist properties to subjective spatial experiences sal In such a small total area of a flat, it is difficult to distinguish a "large" space from a "small". I was able to accurately portray the felt space. It's nice to know your apartment so well! The longer the maximal sightlines, the more open I perceived the spaces.
