The Cost of Living Crisis and Housing The Cost of Living Crisis is having the biggest impact on the most vulnerable and those with the smallest disposable income. From the UK Poverty report 2022 JRF said social renters have the highest rate of poverty of any tenure at 46% reflecting their comparatively lower incomes At SNG we had a year on year 95% increase in customers needing financial support At Southern Housing we ve seen increases in working households needing support, and more referrals for people new to poverty . Working in partnership with suppliers we can make a bigger impact on the most vulnerable. We maximise social value across all our contracts to ensure the impact goes to communities and for what the communities need. 4
