Sleepy Deepti Dreaming of Ice Creams
Deepti goes to bed and falls asleep, dreaming of being on a cloud made of ice cream. However, she abruptly wakes up as she falls out of bed. It turns out it was just the tap dripping. Deepti then goes back to sleep, only to be jolted awake by the sound of the clock.

Introduction While sleeping, has any one of you experienced sleep walking? Have you ever shouted or talked in your dreams? Have you cried and woke up from your dreams?
Introduction The story which we will be learning is about a girl who dreams of ice creams and her mouth starts watering and goes to her mum asking for ice cream before it melts. Let us proceed to learn more about the story.
Sleepy Deepti Deepti was on her way to bed. Good night, Mum! Good night, Dad! she shouted. Deepti went up the stairs. She counted loudly: One, two, three....
Sleepy Deepti What about me? said Deepak. What about you? said Deepti. You said good night to Mum. You said good night to Dad , said Deepak. What about saying good night to me? Deepti laughed. Deeeeeeeep sleep. Deepak!, she said.

Sleepy Deepti Deepti was soon asleep. In the night, she had a dream. Deepti was on a cloud, It was made of ice cream. The ice cream was cold. The sun shining. Drip, drip, drip, drip. Plip, plop, plip, plob.
Sleepy Deepti The cloud was getting smaller! Deepti was slipping. Deepti was falling. CRASH! Deepti fell out of bed. Deepti rubbed her sleepy eyes. It s only the tap dripping , thought Deepti. She got into bed and went to sleep. Then Deepti heard the clock
Sleepy Deepti Beep........ Beep..... Beep...... Beep! Deepti rubbed her sleepy eyes. She put on her skirt, she put on her blouse. She put on her tie. She was ready for school. Deepti went to have breakfast. There was nobody in the kitchen. She went to find her mum.
Sleepy Deepti Mum, I am hungry , said Deepti. Go back to bed , said Mum. Mum, I want some ice cream, said Deepti. Ice cream! said Mum, Why ice cream? If I don t eat any, it will be all gone! Said Deepti. Ice cream at this hour? said Mum.
Sleepy Deepti What s the time, Mum? Said Deepti. It is six o clock , said Mum. Why have you got your tie on? The clock went beep, said Deepti. I am ready for school. It s Sunday, said Mum, sleepily. Deepti looked at Mum. She was asleep. She went and looked in the fridge.
Sleepy Deepti The ice cream was there. She looked at the tap. The tap was not dripping. Deepti went to Deepak s room. Deepak s eyes were not open. But, Deepak was smiling! Nicholas Horsburgh
