  6. Assessment There are a range of assessment types throughout the programme, including assignments, presentations and practical assessments. There are also externally set and marked assessments (exams) for Animal Breeding and Genetics, Animal Welfare and Ethics and Animal Biology.

  7. Practical/Theory content This is a science based course that is focusing on the management of animals, equivalent to 3 A levels. This will be mainly theory based with some practical element, such as animal husbandry.

Work Experience All students will be required to complete work experience for their course, This is mandatory and forms part of your qualification 3 week block in your first year We have a work placement co-ordinator who will assist in this area. There is a wide range of placements that we work with. Dates may be subject to change due to COVID- 19

  10. Trips and visits There may be some trips and visits in the new academic year, there will be a small cost for these. Due to the situation with COVID-19 we will give more details out later in the academic year.

Our expectations Act safely and not put yourself or others at risk Attend punctually and regularly, explaining to your tutor any reason for not attending Work hard and complete all work within specified deadlines Seek help from your tutor or Student Services if you need it Take responsibility for your own learning and make active use of the learning resources and support services provided Treat everyone with respect and ensure that you do not discriminate against anyone or make any other person feel uncomfortable Show respect for other College users by following our basic ground rules Work within the College s Code of Conduct for students Your College ID card must be worn and visible at all times on College premises Mobile phones away in sessions unless asked to use them
