Culture Of Telangana The Culture of Telangana in India has a cultural history of about 5,000 years. The region emerged as the foremost centre of culture in Indian subcontinent during the rule of Kakatiya, the Qutb Shahi and Asaf Jahi dynasties ( Also known as the Nizams of Hyderabad) They speak Telugu & Urdu Languages
Type of food they eat The food that is served in Telangana is generally spicier than usual cuisines and ingredients such as sesame seeds, tamarind, Red chilies, and others are widely used in preparing Telangana cuisines. Even though Hyderabad is a part of Telangana and it is famous for its biryani and biscuits, there are still a lot more dishes that are pretty famous in the state, like snacks and curries that are specially prepared in Telangana State.
Type Of Clothes They Wear Women generally wear saris, churidars, and langa voni. The most famous saris of Telangana culture and tradition include Gadwal Sari, Pochampally Silk Sari, and Ikat Sari. However, many women wear western clothes as well. Traditional dress for men folk in Telangana includes the Dhoti, otherwise known as pancha.

Many women, especially the younger, prefer to wear salwar - kameez or Ghagra choli with odhni with some great embroidery on them. Men usually wear dhoti, kurta or shirt, turban & pagri Kids are commonly found wearing tops, pants and frocks. Kids also wear sweaters during the months of December and January
