  1. Oxford House Housing Services Chair And Co-Chair

  2. Duties Serve as the Chairperson of the Housing Service Committee. Along with the Chapter Co-Chair, and housing services representative from each house conduct a Housing Services Committee meeting every month. Take minutes of the HSC meeting to report at Chapter Meetings Submit an accurate account of approved expenses and receipts to the Chapter Treasurer

  3. Duties Maintain a list of all re-occurring presentations, including dates, times, locations, and houses assigned to present. Maintain a list of all committee members including their phone number and email address. Work closely with Chapter Officers, HSC committee members, and Outreach Workers to serve the needs of the houses and the chapter. Serve on special committees, such as fundraising, new house or unity event, etc.

  4. HSC Meeting Duties Show up Early Have agenda prepared and copies for those present Discuss with the Committee the following subjects: Assisting new or struggling houses. Opening new houses. Presentations. Fundraising. Unity Events.

  5. HSC TIPS Housing Services is a standing committee within chapter (not separate from chapter) Meet houses on their terms. Get to know a houses rules before you go. Offer suggestions instead of making demands. Remember it takes a vote by chapter to flip a house or place them on contract.

  6. HSC TIPS Know the three charter conditions. Recognize the signs of a sick house. Don t make motions in others houses (Only suggestions). Remember that you are there to help! Only a house can evict one of their members.

  7. Other Tips Live by example. Walk the talk. Serve without governing. Read the manuals. Never go alone. Reach out for help. Remain positive and up-beat. Have fun!
