WEEK 20 DAY 1 RESOLVE, COMPEL, COMPLY
In 1836, the US government tried to resolve its Indian problem by giving the eastern Native American tribes 2 years to move westward from their homelands. Excerpt from Survival and Loss: Native American Boarding Schools
The US had a problem: -Settlers wanted the land the Native Americans lived on Resolve: Find an answer to a solution or problem -So the government tried to resolve this problem by requiring the Native Americans move west.
