Lead Advisor and Author: Professor Nick Steneck Professor Emeritus of History, University of Michigan; research integrity consultant; and cofounder of the World Conferences on Research Integrity All researchers, but particularly student and new researchers, need more training than they are currently getting in how to plan, carry out and report their research with integrity. This online programme will help meet these needs in a cost-effective, efficient and engaging way. Adapting Author: Dr Susan O Brien Research Management Business Transformation Program Officer, Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research), University of Queensland It is a privilege to be involved in developing an online learning tool for Australian researchers. Helping researchers understand the Code and their responsibilities is one of the best ways to ensure excellence in research integrity in our institutions.
Research Integrity: Key Benefits Fully address the principles and responsibilities outlined in the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2018), plus key legislation, codes and guidelines that apply to research in Australia thoroughly clarifying expectations Reinforce the practical implications of the Code, and relate training to researchers unique circumstances, with discipline-specific content, including video interviews, scenario-based activities, and polls Extend learning via additional links, resource banks, and references, then test understanding via summative quizzes, which generate certificates that can be used as evidence of course completion
Research Integrity Research Integrity Module 1 Module 4 Bespoke animations introduce learners to core content
Research Integrity Module 1 Interactive diagrams present complex concepts clearly and accessibly facilitating an active learning approach
Research Integrity Module 6 Interactive activities deepen understanding and prompt reflection and discussion
Research Integrity Module 3 Discipline-specific activities help learners relate content to their area of research and provide opportunities to engage with other disciplines
Research Integrity Module 8 Scenario-based activities highlight the practical implications of the Code and key legislation encouraging learners to apply their understanding to real life situations
Research Integrity Module 3 Video interviews with experts across major disciplines provide the most relevant, up-to-date insights in learners fields
