  1. Herkese Ak | Public WARNING For the entire report, the minimum font size must be 18 and the font must be Calibri, without exception. Paragraphs must not be bold or highlighted. The margins of the report template must be respected. If the information requested in the report is not included in the relevant section, this will be deducted from the score (Including the information in another part of the report does not count). If the requested information is not included in the corresponding slide, the relevant team will be disqualified in accordance with the disqualification criteria. Any cited information must be referenced. The reference may be at the bottom of each slide, or they may be collectively presented with numbering in a reference slide at the end of the report. Teams found to have plagiarized the works of others shall be disqualified. Visuals, such as tables, schemes, equations, etc. are also to be referenced. Shared dimensions must be presented using visuals that comply with the technical drawing format. All units in the report must be specified in accordance with the International System of Units. Measurements with missing units will not be taken into consideration. The tables used must not be different from the table format in the relevant slide. Charts and tables must be titled. Untitled charts and tables will not be taken into consideration. The charts and tables should be presented in similar sizes to those in the template. The information on the systems should be concise and easily understandable (clear).   2. Herkese Ak | Public WARNING Information requested more than once throughout the report must be specified separately on each slide where requested. Even if the missing information has been provided in a previous slide, it will be deducted from scoring if absent, or if necessary, the team will be disqualified. The names of the documents (including tables) that are requested or permitted in the Annex must be included on the relevant slide, and the documents must be submitted in full, together with the PDR. Screenshots of tables should not be provided when presenting the tables to be presented in PDR or its Annex. The texts, formulas, equations (the Powerpoint formula and equation editor should be used), correlations etc. to be presented in the PDR or its Annex should not be presented in the form of a screenshot. The logo must be on every page of the report, and the titles must not be changed for any reason. No new and/or different slide should be added to the slides in the template shared by the Competition Committee. The report must be uploaded in PDF format. Reports submitted in a format other than PDF shall not be evaluated under any circumstances. Even if not specifically stated in the articles above, information that is not provided in accordance with the PDR format shall not be evaluated. Texts (including specification articles), sample images and boxes on the slides that are included to guide the competitors must be deleted. The CAD-designed rocket must be reflected on Open Rocket at a 1:1 scale. The enlarged visuals of the upper left corner containing Height- Mass-Diameter information, the upper right corner containing Stability-CG-CP information, and the lower left corner containing Apogee-MaxVel-MaxAcc information (as shown in the visual below), taken from the Open Rocket screenshot, should be also included outside the visual. No new table should be made. An exact replica of the visual must be prepared. The size of each part should be included, as in the sample visual below. In the planned system, the suitability of the rocket for the operating conditions at the given altitude should be explained. (Especially in Pneumatic & Hydraulic System Designs, it should be shown that the design is made considering basically the altitude at which the stage separation system is located). An explanation should be given about the connection strategy of the stage separation system to the rocket. (Moment and load analyses of the planned connection points should be shown at a basiclevel and appropriate connection options/elements should be explained.) The timing of every event in the stage separation, and the reasoning for the timing of each event must be explained. The reasoning behind the timing planning criteria should be explained at a basiclevel . The analysis schedule and details of the analyses should be specified on separate presentation pages, by including the parts specified below. 1st Section: Analysis Schedule: In this section, the teams are expected to share a schedule specifying when they will carry out the analyses they have planned to do. Sharing of this schedule is mandatory. This part must not exceed 2 (two) slides. 2. Section: Structural/Mechanical Endurance Analysis: In this section, the teams are expected to share the Structural/Mechanical Endurance Analysis they plan to carry out on their systems. Section: Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyses: In this section, the teams are expected to share the Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis that they envision for their systems. Teams are expected to share a detailed plan of the analyses they expect to perform. Sharing the Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyses is mandatory. This part must not exceed 2 (two) slides. Any specific analyses should also be shared, along with justification. All analyses should be designed to provide information that addresses the following points: The program planned for use in the analysis. The planned analysis method. The data planned to be obtained from the analysis. How this data will be interpreted. In PDR, the teams are expected to share their plans for the analyses. This is mandatory.   20. Hot Gas Generator Requirements Herkese A k | Public Team Logo This section is to be filled in only by teams wishing to perform rocket separation using pyrotechnic material. Teams that do not use pyrotechnic materials are obliged to clearly state on this page that they do not use pyrotechnic materials. In accordance with Articles 3.2.2.2.10, 3.2.2.2.11 and 3.2.2.2.12 of the Specifications: 3.2.2.10. The teams will not be allowed to use their own pyrotechnic material in their hot gas generator systems. 3.2.2.11. The pyrotechnic hot gas generator (in capsule form) will be hand-delivered by the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition Committee to the teams that will use the Hot Gas Generator (HGU) in the launch site, and information about the HGU is given in Annex 3. 3.2.2.12. During the installation/integration activities in the Aksaray Launch Site, the teams must prove that the hot gas generator provided by the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition Committee is used in the rocket. Otherwise, they will be eliminated. The teams that will use the hot gas generators in question are required to fill in the table below based on their preliminary designs. Parachutes that are red, burgundy, brown or orange should be preferred. The rocket's terminal velocity calculations and parachute design are to be summarized. It should be demonstrated that the terminal velocities with parachute are in accordance with the specifications. Information on the parachutes must be given in table form. Information such as terminal velocity, colour, dimensions (folded-deployed) and mass must be specified. The GPS, radio signal transmitter and sensors if any on each item to be recovered must be presented separately for each item. Otherwise, the team will be eliminated. 3.2.6.3 The commercial FCCs that the teams will use must be selected from among the products listed in Annex 5 (products approved by the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition Committee). Otherwise, the team will be eliminated. The Flight Control Computers that are planned for use must be introduced in this slide. In Medium- and High-Altitude and Challenging Mission Categories, one (1) of the flight control computers must be indigenously developed. In Medium- and High-Altitude and Challenging Mission Categories, the second flight control computer must be a commercial flight control computer. Each commercial and indigenously developed system in the system should be listed and its main tasks should be written. For commercial systems, the full name and code of the product must be shared. The similarities and differences of the two flight control computers planned for use must be presented with a summary table. The means of switching between two flight control computers must be explained at a basic level. Any links between the flight control computers must be explained in detail.   31. Herkese Ak | Public Avionics/EOU Team Logo In accordance with the competition specifications: 3.2.9.12. An Electronic Observation Unit (EOU) was developed by the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition Committee to ensure safe stage separation in the air. 3.2.9.13. The EOU contains electronic hardware, sensors and a power supply, and has mechanical integrity. 3.2.9.14. EOU allows the ignition of the second stage engine after checking whether the stage separation has occurred and whether the second stage is in the appropriate position. 3.2.9.15. The components, operating conditions, and the mechanical (size envelope, mass, etc.) and electrical (connection interfaces, etc.) features of the EOU are given in Annex 8. 3.2.9.16. The EOU will observe the stage separation with the working principle detailed in ANNEX-8. (The procedures the teams need to carry out for their designs are also given in Annex 8). 3.2.9.17. Teams will be able to use the EOU in the stage separation of their rockets. 3.2.9.18. Teams that do not use the EOU will develop their own measures to safely perform stage separation and prove their measures in the relevant reports (PDR, CDR and LLR). Teams using the EOU are required to generate a second stage ignition signal and transfer the data read to the avionics of the competing teams. The competitors will also be required to transfer this data as a package to their ground stations. A block diagram should be provided at basic level to describe the control algorithm of this process, which will take place from the triggering of the stage separation system until the termination of the communication between the EOU and the main avionic system. It must be demonstrated that the number of CONTROL CRITERIA used in the algorithm provided on the Avionics Detail/3 slide is at least 3; and the reasoning for the selection of these criteria must be explained. The options of how to establish a connection between the flight computer and the stage separation system, and how the wiring will be made, should be explained in detail.
