Soft Drinks and Disease Harvard School of Public Health drinks regularly 1 to 2 cans a day or more. 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. 20% higher risk of having a heart attack or dying from a heart attack. 75% higher risk of gout. Cold drinks solidify fat which we can t digest & is stored in our bodies & cause obesity. Diet zero-calorie and low-calorie soft drinks don't necessarily lead to weight loss

For children the recommended daily amount should not exceed 3 tsp and for teensthe maximum amount is 8 tsp.
