Project MARCO POLO - Enhancing International Cooperation in Higher Education

THE PROJECT MARCO POLO addresses the need of the 3 partner countries - Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam - to foster interregional and international cooperation of Higher Education Institutions (HEI), through the build-up of capacities of the partner countries universities for international cooperation. OBJETIVE: To improve the capacity for international cooperation of Higher Education Institutions in partner countries by modernising their International Relations Offices, through the potential of Teaching, Learning and Research at all countries involved in the project. TARGET GROUP - 1) IRO managers, technical coordinators and staff members, involved in international cooperation and related strategies. They will act in strategic project activities and as beneficiaries of trainings and strategic measures. They will further participate in the development of National Recommendations and Best Practices Manuals. - 2) Student associations, future beneficiaries of the IRO and international collaboration structures. - 3) Academic and student community of the participating institutions, beneficiaries of workshops and info days (dissemination activities) and beneficiaries of the pilot mobility actions and IR services. - 4) HEI from TH, MY and VN not directly involved in the partnership.
