HR ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT Is your staff asking for directions? We suggest licensed staff and HR teams frequently visit the NMPED Licensure webpage. Align School Employment backgrounds with the NMPED Teacher Licensure Background so both agencies are in sync for supporting documentation requirements and arrests cause for concern. LICENSURE EXTENSIONS Extension Requests look different this year, why? Prior to the global pandemic we noticed a rise in requests to extend licenses: Each year around January the PLB receives emails from LEAs for guidance on requests for extensions, why? Many cases we see minimal effort to schedule and/or take exams, where is the follow up? Exams have been available virtually since 7/2020. Insufficient support at the district or charter school level for dossier & OPAL submission, why? Minimal support for those holding a 1CS/Alt. license, why? 17 Investing for tomorrow, delivering today.
