  5. How has the Maths Hub work helped to develop your leadership skills? By getting involved in Teaching for Mastery as an advocate initially, I was able to take away the learning from the work groups and share with teachers in my school. It was my first step into "teaching the teachers" By training to be a Specialist and completing the PD Lead qualification, I developed my subject knowledge and as a result, my confidence grew and I felt comfortable delivering training My role as a Specialist means I visit lots of other schools and get to see how they embed Teaching for Mastery. I always get to take away new ideas back to my own school which always impacts students.

  6. How does your work as an LLME for the Hub complement your in-school role? The central and local training I get to attend means I can develop a clear plan for maths in my own school. I get to learn from other schools too when I am working with them and always take back new ideas. Working as an LLME enhances your skills and makes you a better leader within your own school. For me, working as a specialist in the Hub has helped me to develop a clearer vision for maths in my own school
