COURSE SPECIFICS Preparation: plan on around 20 hours of studying per week, clinical prep is 4-5 hours day preceding, hospital clinical on week 5, 6, 7 and then nursing home after MEA Textbooks: syllabi on D2L will list the textbooks needed, D2L will open 1-2 weeks prior to the start of school, if buying used will need to purchase Prep-U separately, first day of class instructors will go over how to access online products, need to buy a weekly/monthly calendar, multi colored flash cards/index cards Uniforms: white scrub top with patch, navy pants, polo top with no patch, solid white, black or navy shoes, lab jacket not needed until week 5, need a watch with a second hand, do not need stethoscope

  10. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES If you have a medical condition that impairs your ability to care for patients you must notify your instructor and the associate dean of nursing You must provide medical documentation that you may return to class/clinical in order to continue in the program

  13. TCCP-STUDENT PASSPORT: You should have received an invitation email from TCCP-StudentPassport with the subject Welcome! did you receive this? If not, email jenny.white@rctc.edu For your assistance, use the Nursing Checklist or the List of Requirements to organize/prepare for uploading. If organized, uploading this information should take less than 20 minutes, TCCP provides an instruction video. Due date for completion for most requirements is August 1, 2019. Student Health Services is available for a physical exam at a cost of $25. (closed during Summer) Documents need to be legible and contain official information (student and provider names) Registration will open at Noon at August 8th for students that have completed the required documentation upload. You will be registering for PNM 1200, 1210, and 1250. Remember that you need the same section for 1200 and 1250.
