About PJs Foods Limited Scotland s Leading Sandwich Manufacturer & Distributor Brief History: PJs began trading in 1996 attaining the BRC Food Safety standard in 2003. Current grade AA*.PJs supply to a wide selection of organisations including Universities, Colleges, Schools, The NHS, Retail units, In-flight caterers, Stadiums, Councils, and Sporting events. PJs operate from a purpose-built high-care / low-risk factory in Glasgow employing 85 staff locally. With distribution to the Scottish region, PJs produce approximately 95,000 to 100,000 products per week.

Sustainability Strategy PJs put in place a strategy of the four pillars of sustainability in 2022 focusing on Net Zero, Reduced Waste, a Greener Food Miles Supply Chain & a culture of Corporate Responsibility Zero Waste involving sourcing 100 % renewable energy supply, minimum order delivery, back haulage from suppliers, larger drops less frequently reducing Co2 emissions Reduced waste through zero to landfill, Refuse Derived Fuel in conjunction with Saica, redistribution of overruns, diversion of manufacturing by-product i.e. breads ends to animal feed (25 Tonnes Per Year), carboard capture (15 tonnes per year) Greenest Supply Chain: PJs have made sure our supply chain is the shortest possible with the least amount of Food Mikes and in addition supporting Scottish manufacturers and growers. Sustainability To Date PJs now send Zero Waste to landfill. This had been achieved by using the Refuse Derived Fuels processing techniques with full carbon capture in conjunction with Saica Waste management Energen Bio-Gas Cumbernauld, creating electricity from food waste Rework of bread ends into animal feed with a daily delivery to Ardunan Farm (six miles from PJ s) 25 tonnes per annum Remanufacture of card boxes into pulp for wood chip & packaging 15 tonnes per annum New venture with Glasgow Chambers of Commerce as part of the Food & Drink Sectors Circular Economy 2022 Removal of the plastic wedge in 2020 from the retail range with the introduction of a card tray Introduction of the second electric fleet vehicle since 2017 CEED Award for Sustainable Remanufacture 2020 Introduction of Zero Plastic Packaging 2020/21 Delivery of overruns to Fairshare the Homeless charity since 2016

Energy Use Measurement & Source British gas annual usage 59957 KW 22-23 British Gas Business electricity plans are zero carbon as standard, which is backed by electricity from renewable energy sources (72%) and nuclear generation (28%). Our renewable energy for business plans have a 100% renewable fuel mix Transportation impacts includes the use of 14 fleet vehicles Between 2020 and 2023 14% of this fleet is now fully electric As of June 2023, the entire fleet is fully compliant with the new Glasgow City Councils Low Emissions Zone ( LEZ )

Supply Chain Summary Our main bread supplier McGhee s Bakery is located 2.5 miles from Unit We made a strategic decision to award sole supply of all our chilled & frozen ingredients to Fife Creamery some 60 miles from Glasgow with back haulage using our own vans who deliver to the Scottish region during their initial journey Our main Fruit & Veg supplier & processer is based in Cumbernauld some 14 miles away again with back haulage by our own Vans Additional sourcing from Scottish manufacturers with distribution via our key suppliers as noted above not only ensures the lowest amount of carbon impact but also supports the Scottish economy and commerce through the provenance of our product
