Year 8 and 9 Mental Health Peer Educators
The following students have successfully completed their Peer Educator training with the external company Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF), funded by Charlton Athletics Community Trust. The students attended several workshops where they learnt about mental health conditions, the stigma attached to mental heath conditions and ways to support their fellow students with maintaining a healthy balance for their own wellbeing.
At the end of the training, students either delivered an assembly or a PD lesson a daunting task and they did very well in their presentations. The Year 8 and Year 9 audiences were very receptive to the message being given. We hope to continue this work next year with other year groups. Mrs Cronin
