Parent Information Night: Social Media Awareness at A.E. Wright Middle School
Tonight's parent information night at A.E. Wright Middle School will cover essential topics such as how to talk to your kids about social media, dangers of social media to discuss with your kids, and ways to monitor your child's social media use. The event aims to build awareness and promote positive social media usage through open conversations and setting a calm, neutral tone. Parents will learn the importance of asking before telling and engaging with their children about the apps and platforms they use. Through collaborative efforts, participants can create a plan to navigate the digital landscape successfully.

HOW TO TALK TO YOUR KIDS ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA: WHY DO IT? Access to the internet =access to social media sites and downloadable materials. s. It stars my sister, Lacie and shows the importance of paying attention to what children are doing online. I recently gave Lacie her phone last year, and always worry about who she's talking to online. She isn't allowed to have social media accounts yet, but when making this film I talked to her about the importance of never talking to someone she didn't know. Not everyone is who they say they are.
