Approval/adoption of minutes of 2nd meeting of EC: Approval/adoption of minutes of 2nd meeting of EC: No comments have been received on proceedings of second meeting of EC held on 26th August, 2015. Approval of EC-NMOOP is solicited for adoption of aforesaid minutes.

AGENDA ITEM 2: FOLLOW UP ACTION ON SECOND MEETING OF EC: AGENDA ITEM 2: FOLLOW UP ACTION ON SECOND MEETING OF EC: Action points Modalities ensuring the supply of quality seeds to the farmers Follow-up action for The meeting of Central Agencies (CAs) was organised on 30th May, 2016. Their AAPs were approved for 2016-17. As against the supply of 12.36 lakhs seeds minikits during 2015-16, CAs have been assigned supply of 16.55 lakhs seeds minikits during 2016-17. Assistance on water carrying pipes has been enhanced from Rs.25/-per metre for all types of pipes to Rs.50/-per metre for HDPE pipes, Rs.35/- per metre. The funding pattern of 75:25 between Central and State Government has been changed to 60:40 for General category of States and 90:10 for NE & Himalayan States from 2015 16 Revision of rate of assistance on supply of water pipes. AGENDA ITEM 2: FOLLOW UP ACTION ON SECOND MEETING OF EC: AGENDA ITEM 2: FOLLOW UP ACTION ON SECOND MEETING OF EC: Action points Follow-up action Age relaxation of varieties of oilseeds upto 15 years. Age limit of the varieties/hybrids of oilseeds was relaxed from 10 to 15 years under seed distribution and cluster demonstration component of NMOOP for next 03 years i.e. 2016-17 to 2018-19. Supply of additional minikits of JD-6 (Pusa Mehak) of mustard to Assam and K-6 variety of groundnut to Tamil Nadu. As against the indent of 20,000 seed minikits of mustard, 18,000 seed minikits of mustard comprising JD-6 (10,000), and NRCDR-2 (4405) and Pusa mustard -26 (4000) were supplied to Assam state during Rabi 2015-16. As against the indent of 3,000 seed minikits of groundnut, 7483 seed minikits of groundnut comprising K-6 (5850), GG-16 (133) and ICGV-91114 (1500) were supplied to Tamil Nadu state during Rabi 2015-16. Supply of a copy of the proposal for establishment of seed gardens. An assistance of Rs.25.60 lakhs has been provided to the Government of Mizoram for setting up 02 seed gardens under NMOOP. Necessary technical back up is being extended by ICAR-IIOPR. 12

AGENDA ITEM 6: OTHER INITIATIVES/DECISIONS AGENDA ITEM 6: OTHER INITIATIVES/DECISIONS 6.1 6.1 Possibilities of Oil Palm cultivation in Bodoland area of Assam: Possibilities of Oil Palm cultivation in Bodoland area of Assam: Director, IIOPR, Pedavegi has been assigned a brief survey/study in consultation with officials of BTC for feasibility of taking up oil palm cultivation in at least 5,000- 10,000 ha area in districts of Bodoland. An amount of Rs.3.50 lakh has been allocated and Rs.1.77 lakhs has been released for the purpose. 6.2. Proposals for procurement of FFBs under MIS: 6.2. Proposals for procurement of FFBs under MIS: All State Governments concerned have been requested to submit a proposal for procurement of fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) of oil palm under MIS. Govt. of AP has submitted a proposal for procurement of 1,14,963 MT FFBs of oil palm @ Rs. 7,888/-per MT of FAQ of oil palm. Proposal of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram and Odisha are under consideration in Cooperation Division. 18

  21. 7. PROSPESCTS FOR KHARIF OILSEEDS Production targets of 235 lakh tonnes of oilseeds for Kharif 2016. An area coverage of 190.31 lakh ha as against the normal coverage of 182.42 lakh ha (2010-2015), 185.19 lakh ha during Kharif-2015 and highest coverage of 194.01 lakh ha during Kharif- 2013. Crop condition is normal in majority of the states. Groundnut and soybean are being harvested. Price of groundnut is ruling below MSP (Rs. 4120/qtl) in AP , Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Telangana. NAFED has been requested for arrangement of procurement. 21
