  1. How to Deal with Temptation Matthew 4: 1-11 What is humankind s universal problem? The one thing every person ever lived Has faced TEMPTATION Everyone knows it. Even Jesus was tempted!

  2. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize With our weakness but has bee tempted in all things as we are. Text: Jesus faced three temptations How can we deal with temptation?

  3. THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM What does the Bible teach us about temptation? Clearest answer is from the wilderness of Jesus. Temptation is not the same thing is sin. Jesus was tempted but he never sinned! Important we feel guilty already give up or give in

  4. Temptation is only the opportunity for sin! The Devil is knocking I hear you knocking but you can t come in. The Source of Temptation is Satan 1 Peter 5:8 Be careful watchout for attacks from Satan, your great Enemy. He prowls around like a hungry lion looking for some.

IN EVERY TEMPTATION WE HAVE A WAY TO ESCAPE 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is Common to man andGod is faithful he will not tempted Beyond what you can bear, but when you are tempted, He will also Provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. You may not see. You may not want it. You might not take it. IT IS THERE ALWAYS - IT IS THERE ALWAYS EVERY TIME

THE PRESCRITION RUN FROM IT If sinful men entice you, do not give in Proverbs 1:10 2 Timothy 2:22 Run from anything that gives you evil thoughts that Young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Avoid it when we can avoid wrong places, people, and activities

  7. PREPARE FOR IT SOMETIMES WE CANNOT AVOID TEMTATION Psalm 119:11 I will hide your word in my heart that I may not sin against victim to tear apart. Satan our enemy using every day device. Paul: Watch for the schemes of the devil. Schemes cunning- crafty arts methods, he does have methods

  10. Natural vs unnatural to us Popularity lowering standards ignoring God follow the crowd Sex premarital extramarital unnatural ways Endure Through it It is written v4, v7, v10

  11. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because he has stood the test, he will receive the victor s crown.
