Our North Yorkshire Shared Prosperity Fund Prospectus The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF or the Fund) is a central pillar of the UK government s ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. Our 5 Local Investment Priorities Building on the work of The North Yorkshire Investment Plan, this prospectus identifies 5 investment priorities based on the sub- regions key strengths and challenges: North Yorkshire have been allocated 16.9m to spend on local programmes and projects through the Shared Prosperity Fund, as well as 5.4m from the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) a capital funding programme targeted at rural areas and seeking to address the same issues and challenges of the UKSPF. Tackling Rurality and Inequalities This Prospectus sets out the priorities for how the UKSPF will be invested in North Yorkshire, based on delivering the interventions set out in the local SPF Investment Plan submitted to Government in July 2022. 2.   4. UKSPF/REPF Prospectus How to get Involved Whilst the programme runs over 3 years, the majority of Year 1 funding has already been allocated to meet deadlines for expenditure. This has been approved by the Local Partnership Group and will deliver against the programme priorities set out in the Investment Plan. For Year 2 & 3 the prospectus outlines a number of ways you can get involved: Feasibility studies Expressions of Interest for grant funding or delivering commissioned services or projects outlined in the programmes activities. Expressions of interest can cover more than one investment priority or programme. Communities & Place Programme Funding How to get Involved 1.75m 1.1 Building capacity in our people and places Community Networks and Anchor organisations Expressions of Interest Expressions of Interest for coordination and delivery of the capacity building programme in years 2 & 3. Fund opens later 2023. Capacity Building programme and fund Applications will open in April 2023 Community Grants 600,000 Feasibility Studies applications open from February 2023 1.2 Generating New Ideas for Community Regeneration 600,000 Expressions of interest for coordination and delivery of the grants programme in years 2 & 3. Fund opens later 2023. 1.3 Promoting Healthy and Active Communities Grant Programme Access to green space, new and improved sports and leisure facilities, active travel measures and campaigns to promote healthy lifestyles. 850,000 Funding for this programme is not open until 2024. 1.4 Increasing Levels of Digital Inclusion Grant Programme 2.65M Expressions of Interest 2. Expressions of interest for management, coordination and delivery of voucher programme in Years 2 and 3. 3.1 Growing Our Businesses Enhanced business diagnostic and support service, social enterprise support and feasibility studies Procurement opportunities will be published on www.ynygrowthhub.com.   8. Enabling an Active Labour Market Programme Funding How to get Involved 2.4m 5.1 Engaging And Inspiring People Funding is not available until April 2024. Funding in years 1 & 2 to support VCSE organisations at risk from withdrawal of ESF 815,000 5.2 Developing Progression Pathways within the Workforce Funding is not available until 2024. 335,000 5.3 Supporting young and older people Funding is not available until 2024 Year three programmes will be developed in first half of year 2. RURAL ENGLAND PROSPERITY FUND The Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) is a capital funding programme targeted at rural areas and settlements with a population of up to 10,000 people, or settlements of up to 30,000 population which act as service hubs to a wider rural population. REPF is a fund linked to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and seeks to address the same issues and challenges as the UKSPF with a focus on the key priorities of Communities and Place and Supporting Local Business. Funding is limited to the 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years - Details are being developed for launch of the grant application process early in 2023/24 (Y2) Expressions of Interest are invited based on the North Yorkshire Rural England Prosperity Fund Investment Plan and with reference to the national prospectus which can be viewed here : Rural England Prosperity Fund: prospectus - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Capital Grant Funding - rural communities and places Tackling inequalities, addressing rural accessibility and climate resilience.
