Origin of Nevruz
According to the Ergenekon 
Epic
 of the Turks,
when the Ancient Turks fled from their
enemies, they took refuge in a valley called
"Ergenekon", where they multiply, and
eventually the valley began to seem small to
them. By lighting large fires, they melted the
iron mountain around the valley and got rid
of the valley. Modern Turks believe that this
day is "March 21" and

Nevruz, a celebration held on March 21 in Turkey, has its origins in the Ergenekon Epic of the Turks where they escaped enemies to a valley called Ergenekon. Celebrated by forging iron, jumping over fire, making wishes on rosewood, trees, and roses, the festival is rich in traditions and folklore.
