Safety On Discord and Online Games Be aware of groups and servers you join Remain respectful to those you interact with Do not share personal information Use multifactor authentication Be skeptical of links and files Report suspicious messages to moderators and a trusted adult Check privacy settings Safe direct messaging, who can add you, and server privacy defaults

Why Should I Keep My Information Private? Things like your full name, personal ID numbers, addresses, vehicle identifications, and phone numbers must remain private. Prevent identity theft Financial information Robbery Background checks
Inappropriate Messages and Other Content Speak up Tell a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult Block them on social media and/or phone number When the person sending the inappropriate message is an adult, you can report them to the police Never forward these types of messages to other people Block accounts on social media that may have explicit content
Cyberbullying Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over the internet Sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, or false information about someone else Sharing personal information about someone else to cause embarrassment or humiliation Social media, text, DMs, e-mails, and online gaming
