Hierarchy of Interconnection Documents Laws Rules Procedures Utility Specific Documents (Business Practice Documents)
Rules Rules may also be referred to as standards. Generally, requirements that are applicable to all utilities must go through the rulemaking process. Incorporating a stakeholder process to develop a draft ruleset and formal rulemaking can take 24 months. Rules may include a waiver however, any waiver must not violate the law.
