MEXT SCHOLARSHIP FOR RESEARCH STUDENTS INFORMATION AND CULTURE SECTION EMBASSY OF JAPAN
PROGRAM Program is designed for: - Danish students who are enrolled in a master s course, a doctoral course, or a professional graduate course at a graduate school, or who are conducting research in a specialized field at a graduate school or at an institution attached to a university. - Students who wish to further study their own field of studies in graduate courses at Japanese universities.
BENEFITS - Round trip flight tickets to and from Japan - Tuition and other administrative fees (until you finish your course) - Allowance:143,000JPY (Research, visiting students),144,000 JPY (Master courses), 145,000 JPY (Doctoral courses) in 2017
DURATION Duration of the scholarship: Research student : One and half or two years duration Master course student : Until finishing the course PhD student: Until finishing the course
QUALIFICATIONS Age: under 35 Graduate students studying various field Willingness to study Japanese language and to adapt to life in Japan Clear and concrete research plan and motivation to pursue degree or conduct research in Japan
SCHEDULE & SELECTION PROCEDURE Application Application Preparation Preparation Application Form, Health Certificate, Field of Study and Research Plan Form, Abstracts of thesis, Recommendation, Graduate Certificate and Transcript, Placement Preference Form* etc. Contact name of the supervisors at Japanese univeristies* (*not mandatory, but preferable) Documents have to be sent to the Danish Agency for Higher Education (Styrelsen for Viderg ende Uddannelse)
SCHEDULE & SELECTION PROCEDURE 1st Screening 1st Screening Writing exam, and Interview (at the Embassy in Copenhagen) Result will be notified for the 1st screening Late June Contacting the university of your choice and get the acceptance letter Late August 2nd Screening 2nd Screening Based on the Embassy recommendation, Monbusho in Tokyo will evaluate the candiate . Result will be notified around November University placement University placement January
