TMA Travel Account Funds available for TMA Meeting expenses Hotel Airfare Mileage Cab/Uber Fare Discretionary funding is available to Chapters with a significant distance to travel to TMA meetings. AMA Travel Account Awarded as part of the AMA Outreach Award Program for medical student recruitment: More AMA members = More money for you! For AMA Travel Purposes Only Hotel Airfare Mileage Cab/Uber ROLLS OVER YEAR TO YEAR! TMA also provides $500 per year for AMA delegate travel. (These funds are separate from your AMA Outreach Funds and DO NOT Roll over year to year.)
Discretionary Funds These funds are provided on an as needed bases. Extra funds are allocated to help offset travel expenses for: Student members who sit on a BCC. Student members traveling from areas where a flight AND overnight hotel are necessary to attend a TMA meeting. Satellite campuses that need money for programing events.
Executive Council Funding Each EC position receives $500/year for the purposes of traveling to and from TMA/AMA meetings Fund is split between outgoing and incoming EC members

Other Funding Sources TMA Brown Bag Lunch Series TMA will find your chapter a speaker, send him/her to your school and pay for your chapter s lunch meeting on a legislative topic of your choice One per semester $300 per event food allowance Contact: Karen Kollar, MSSInfo@texmed.org
Other Funding Sources TMA/AMA Chapter Involvement Grants Chapters are eligible to receive up to $1,000 per academic year for their chapter s activities, with a maximum of $250 or $500 available for each event, depending on the type of event. Grant awards generally range from $150 to $500 per event, so we encourage you to organize several projects throughout the year. Please remember that funding is not guaranteed; each event will be evaluated on an individual basis.
