Overview of the NWO Talent Scheme
Veni:
for researchers who have recently gained their PhD (250K€)
Vidi:
for experienced researchers with several years of research experience (800K€)
Vici:
for researchers who have demonstrated the ability to develop their own line of
research (M€ 1,5)
For each funding instrument a funding round is held once a year.
Rubicon:
mobility grant
Who can apply?
Veni-applicants
must have obtained their doctorate within the last

years.
The 2019 Veni round is open to researchers who meet this criterion on 1 January 2019.
Vidi-applicants
must have obtained their doctorate within the last

years.

be offered a permanent contract

Vidi-applicants must have obtained their doctorate within the last eight years. The 2019 Vidi round is open to researchers who meet this criterion on 1 October 2019. Vici-applicants must have obtained their doctorate within the last fifteen years. The 2019 Vici round is open to researchers who meet this criterion on 1 March 2019.
