The City of Houston Mayor's Office and Office of Veterans Affairs are actively involved in the Governor's/Mayor's Challenge to prevent suicide among service members, veterans, and their families. Through various initiatives, including team accomplishments and future goals, they are working towards reducing the impact of suicide in the community and improving coordination of care. The challenge addresses critical issues such as establishing collaboration between different organizations and developing strategies for better mental health support.
