What will you do during jury presentation ? Tonight, at 5pm 1 hour for all the groups to present their project and receive feedback ! Add herethe presentationof jury members Add herethe timing details accordingto the number of participants : - 5 minutes presentation and 5 minutes of feedback for 5 groups of 3 - 10 minutes presentation and 10 minutes of feedback of 3 groups of 5 The goal is to receive feedback from professional, and above all to enjoy the moment !

What does it mean to pitch a project ? To pitch your project is to present it in a short and impactful way, in order to convince an audience. 3 golden rules : Keep the timing 1 minute 3-5 minutes 10 minutes Adapt to your audience Investors Customers Suppliers Partners, etc Stay simple and clear
The tools to become a pitch expert ! Detail your project, structure your ideas, write your story and deliver it
The 4 steps to prepare your pitch 1. Clarify your idea To be able to clearly present an idea, you need to make it perfectly clear in your head first 3. Write your story Once you know which message you want to pass on, include it into a story to which your audience can relate 2. Organise your thoughts Then, organise your thoughts to make sure you will deliver the right message 4. Practice your pitch Use your body and your voice to deliver your message and onboard your audience
Step 1 : clarify your idea WHY HOW Which means ? Which tools ? Objectives ? 5W2H WHO HOW MUCH Cost ? Time ? People ? By who ? Which beneficiaries ? Which stakeholders ? WHEN WHAT WHERE What is it concretely ? What are the expected outcomes ? In a physical space ? Online ? Which region ? Starting when ? Deadlines ? For how long ?
Step 1 : your turn ! On your own, take 10 minutes to answer all the 5W2H questions, for your project !
Step 2 : Organise your thoughts Our products or services . help(s) customers or beneficiaries .. who want to ..job(s) to be done . by .verb .and customer pain . and ..verb ..customer gain .. . (unlike ..competing value proposition)
Step 2 : Organise your thoughts 1- Identification : Introduce yourself 2- Problem : Introduce the issue you are tackling, by creating empathy with your audience 3- Target : Who are you targeting ? Who would be your clients ? Beneficiaries ? 5- Competition advantage : What makes you solution different/better from other actors ? 4- Solution : What do you offer to solve this issue ? 6- Impact : What is the impact you will generate through your project ? 7- Needs : What do you need from your audience ? To make your project grow ? 8- Call to actions : What are the next steps to support your project ?
Step 2 : your turn ! On your own, take 15 minutes to fill in the pitch sentence and the canva, for your own project !
Step 3 : Write your story thanks to story telling What is it ? A way of pitching your project by telling a story. You can tell a story to introduce your project. It can refer to your personal journey and what led you to choose this project. Or you can introduce your solution by telling the story of a potential beneficiary. The idea is to get your audience on board and allow them to identify with what you are sharing.
Step 3 : Write your story, your WHY WHAT ? What the organization does ? Which products and services does it offer ? Sell ? HOW ? How do you do it ? It is what differentiates some organizations from competition, what makes them special. WHY ? The reason why the organization exists. What is its purpose ?
Step 3 : your turn ! On your own, take 10 minutes to find the story you would like to tell around your own project !
Step 4 : Use body language to deliver your message Hands Voice Feets Try to pay attention a the way you use your hands : do you cross your arms ? Do you hide them ? Do you use them to talk ? While speaking, take your time ! It s ok to pause from times to times and don t forget to breath. Make sure your feets are well grounded. Imagine you have an antenna through your body which make you stand straight
Step 4 : Lets practice your pitch ! Practice in groups of 3 One by one, present your small pitch The rest of the group will actively listen and provide constructive feedback 30
Some last tips for your jury presentation Make sure you respect your timing You want to use a powerpoint Presentation ? It s not mandatory but if you want to do so, make it visual and the least text possible Even though a pitch is usually delivered by 1 or 2 person(s), you will be in group tonight : make sure everyone is included and is aligned with the project You feel better with notes ? We encourage you to try without them but if you don t feel comfortable to do so, at least try to read the least possible Most important of all : HAVE FUN !
