  2. Mental Health and Emotional Wellness is Very Important today For there is No Health Without Mental Health FEAR AND ANXIETY CAUSES LOTS OF STRESS WHICH AFFECTS OUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLNESS

  6. Other Signs of Being Stressed out: constantly feeling fatigued & overwhelmed inefficient at work anxious & irritable inability to concentrate or focus forgetfulness insomnia -- unable to sleep constant tension headaches tightness in stomach or chest Winston Craig, PhD, RD

  7. So we must learn to Tame Our Fears and Anxieties. To master them and not them Master us HOW IS IT WITH YOU?

  8. What are Some of the Fears and Anxieties of the Corona pandemic that are stressing us out and how can tame or manager them? Do you have any of these? 1. Fear of getting the Coronavirus 2. Fear of dying from the Virus 3. Fear of family members contracting COVID19, especially the older members of our families, healthcare workers & ones with co-morbidities 4. Fear of loss of Income job, business 5. General fears and anxieties fear of the unknow, uncertainty of how one will cope with the new realities

  9. 1. Fear of getting the virus 2. And fear of dying from it Are these two of your fears? This is real, since 50,206 cases & 593 deaths in the USA have resulted from it. How can I tame or master this fear? a. Do all that I can to prevent it b. Know that no one can protect himself 100 % c. If I get it, its not necessary a death sentence 80% of those who get it recover. If I don t recover & die, so what? d. Sooner or later I am going to die. It s appointed unto man once to die.The issue is, am I ready to meet my God? Isn t that True? Hebrews 2:14

Jesus releases me from the fear of the bondage of Death In-as-much then, as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself, likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:14-15

  11. 3. Fear of my family getting Covid19 Is this another of my fears? a. Do all that I can to help prevent them from getting it. b. Find ways of letting them know that I love them whether they have it or not c. If they get it, let them know I still love them. d. Remember it s not a death sentence e. After I have done my best, pray for them and leave the rest to God

  16. NOT LEARNING TO TAME OUR FEARS AND ANXITIES CAUSES LOTS OF STRESS WHICH AFFECTS OUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLNESS

The large INTERHEART Study that included 52 nations found that people who experienced frequent or continual stress in Stress and your health either their home or work life experienced a 45% increased risk of a heart attack. Unrelieved stress can harm your health. Another hallmark study shows that high levels of stress lowers the body s immune system making people more susceptible to illness including colds and flu. Stress can also erode mental health and quality of life. Take time to improve coping skills and relieve stress to improve 17

  18. What were Some of the Fears and Anxieties of the Corona pandemic that we Identified and discussed how we could tame them so they don t stressed us out 1. Fear of getting the Coronavirus 2. Fear of dying from the Virus 3. Fear of family members contracting COVID19, especially the older members of our families, healthcare workers & ones with co-morbidities

  19. 3. Fear of my family like First Responders, Health Care workers, at Risk Group getting Covid19 Is this another of my fears? It s okto feel afraid but don t let fear rule your life a. Do all that I can to help prevent them from getting it. b. Find ways of letting them know that you love them whether they have it or not c. If they get it, let them know I still love them. d. Remember it s not a death sentence e. After you have done your best, pray for them and leave the rest to God

  20. 4. Fear of losing my source of income whether its my job or business. Is this one of your fears? a. This is real because most businesses are closed down. Many people cannot go to work or they are working from home b. Become aware of your job, state and federal help that s available c. Call up your creditors and make Coronavirus financial arrangements d. What new opportunity can you create to meet some of these new needs and charge for it. Deut. 8:18 e. Remember that God is your source of total supply. Matt 6:25

Adapt Jesuss attitude towards your financial needs MATT 6: 25 Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

  22. Adapt Jesuss attitude towards your financial needs 27 Which of you by worrying can add one inch to his stature? 28 So, why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [c]arrayed like one of these. 30 Now, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you? O you of little faith.

  23. Reasons Why the Believer Doesnt have to worry about Finances 1. You can Trust the same God who gives you life to take care of every details of your life. Verses 25 2. If God takes care of the birds and flowers who are less important than us, shall He not take care of us (26) 3 .3. Our God knows what we have need of before we ask. He has the solution before we have a problem .4. Worry shows a lack of faith in and an understanding of God. Isn t true?

  24. 5. Fear of the unknown: Whats Going to happen next? How Many people will contract it How many will die? Part of what drives feelings of anxiety is a lack of information. The virus is new, and there remain many questions about the illness it causes. Most people haven't had it, nor do they know someone who has. As confirmed cases of the virus increase, the more people learn, the better they'll feel." Live one day at a time. Matthew 6:34 is Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Regrets of Yesterday and the Fears of tomorrow.) So Plan for tomorrow and don t worry about tomorrow

FEAR OF BEING ALONE -- SOCIAL DISTANCING (Physical Distancing but socially Connecting Have schedule It could be a blessing in disguise It will give us time with Our Loving Creator He says, Be still and know that I am God Psa. 46:10 In quietness and confidence shall be Thy strength Isa How can you cope with that?

  26. 7. Fears of dying alone or of not being able to be with love ones who are sick and dying.

  27. CONCLUSION: To strengthen your body, mind and Spirit to deal with these worries, anxieties and stress caused by our response to the C V, make sure that you are: Eating a healthy Plant based diet Getting Walking and fresh air Getting enough rest, which includes sleeping on a clean conscience.

  28. Hold On To Gods precious Promises Hebrews 10:35-36 Therefore do not cast away your PATIENCE confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise

  29. John 14:1-3 John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  30. Philippians 4:6-8 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Meditate on These Things 8 Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy meditate on these things.

  31. Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
