  6. Heb 12:2-3 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him

  7. endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who

  8. endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

  9. Lets fix our eyes on JESUS!!!

  10. If we fix our eyes on Jesus,

  11. Then there will be several results

  12. We will experience God s Shalom

  13. Jesus will abide in us and flow through us!

  14. We will be on Mission with Jesus

  15. What was Jesus mission? Luke 4:18-19 basically answers that question

  16. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.

  17. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

  18. to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

  19. A Quote Of Isaiah 61:1-2

  20. Basically, Jesus brought the Kingdom of God to the earth/humanity!!!

  21. Lets break this passage down, phrase by phrase.

  22. The Spirit of the Lord is on me

  23. Yes, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit Matthew 1:18-25

  24. We too, Must be born from above John 3:1ff

  25. Jesus was then Baptized in the Holy Spirit Luke 3:21-22

  26. We too, must be baptized/filled with the Holy Spirit Acts 1:4-5

  27. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you

  28. and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

  29. Second Phrase

  30. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.

  31. Announce Good News

  32. The Good News of GOD s LOVE

  33. 1 Peter 3:15 A reason for your hope

  34. Be ready to share your testimony! (If God can save me )

  35. Third Phrase

  36. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

  37. Regardless of our earthly circumstances, Jesus sets us FREE

  38. 1 Corinthians 7:17ff (Live as you were called)

  39. Fourth Phrase

  40. to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

  41. 1 Peter 3:18 ( bring us to GOD ) Eternal Life begins at Salvation!!!

  42. This is all well and good, but what does this have to do with us?

  43. John 20:21b As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
