Library Advisory Committee Meeting Schedule Per semester Chair: Marianna Colvin (SW & CCJ) Members (2022-2023: Clifford Brown (A&L) David Javakhadze (BUS) Caitlin Imgrund (EDU) Oge Marques (ENG) Dorothy Lemeh (HON) Leah Plocharczyk (LIB) Salvatore Lepore (SCI) Steven Lewis (MED) Shirley Gordon (NUR)
Membership The Library Advisory Committee shall consist of one faculty member from each college and one member from the Library faculty. The method of selection of the members shall be determined by the individual units. If a regular Committee member is unable to attend a meeting, the unit may designate a proxy. The Committee shall elect its chair from among the college members.
Charge The Committee shall seek and encourage faculty participation in formulating policy, adding and improving services, and expanding the offerings and holdings of the Library. It may review and make recommendations concerning: Library policies, services and products Collections and acquisitions Electronic services within the Library, including archiving, access and availability Innovative products and services that will provide improved access to resources Other Library issues of concern to the faculty
Major Activities Major Committee Activities 2022-2023: Committee reviewed and offered feedback on library budget updates and adding new titles Reviewed how each college is evaluating their own holdings and managing library requests Committee members toured the library holdings/services in Spring 2023 and met with Dean Golian-Loi A representative will join an upcoming library meeting on the topic of path to R1

Summary of Library Initiatives/Services Doughnuts with the Dean to introduce new Dean to the student body Monthly student wellness event called PAWS (Pet Away Worry and Stress) partners with University Police Department Career Center Commons Drop-in career coaching is available each week in the library lobby Upgrading the usability and discoverability of research guides Launched annual program to recognize the FAU faculty and staff that authored or produced creative works
