By engaging all members in a genuine shared decision-making
process, more will arrive
at the same destination together, as active and engaged
partners, of their own free will, and
not as acquiescent or reluctant followers. They
will then be more likely to have a sense of
ownership over the decisions and be prepared to
support them, even when the decisions do
not meet every person’s hopes and expectations.

This year, district schools will utilize the official SIP template. The
streamlined SIP template is intended to simplify the SIP process and
help school leaders easily identify the most critical areas for
improvement. Grade component data, Early Warning Systems data,
subgroup data and other data charts pertinent to each individual
school have been included within the SIP to help the school
leadership team strategically pinpoint Areas of Focus for the
upcoming school year.
