Latest Update on Sci-ECAL MIP Results by Jiaxuan Wang
Jiaxuan Wang presents an update on Sci-ECAL MIP results as of March 8, 2024. The new method for muon energy reconstruction involves multiple fittings to exclude noise hits and obtain the real track and hits. The muon energy is estimated around 0.3049 MeV using new MIP calibration results. Despite progress, there are still abnormal channels and dead channels with fit problems, resulting in 9.26% total dead channels.

Sci-ECAL MIP results update 2024/03/08 Jiaxuan Wang
Motivation Old method: center of gravity method, and fit once Landau MPV from MIP spectrum Muon energy reconstruction in channel level New method: fit multi times Data selection : center of gravity method To exclude the noise hit far away from real muon track(more than 10 strips far away) First fitting: To exclude the noise hit near the real muon track(2 strips far away) Second fitting: To exclude the noise not on the track Third fitting: Get the real track and real hits 0.305MeV Blue : All channels Red : Dead Channels MeV 2
