Be Troubled Not John 14:1-5

Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you." John 14:1 2 HCSB

What has moved into your home, neighborhood, that has you disturbed?

Why were the disciples hearts troubled?

1. To Prepare a Place for them

But when the king came in to view the guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed for a wedding. So he said to him, Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes? The man was speechless. Matthew 22:11 14 HCSB

Then the king told the attendants, Tie him up hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are invited, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:11 14 HCSB

Jesus answered, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23 HCSB

The Parable of the Bridegroom or the 10 Virgins (Mt. 25:1-13)

When they had gone to buy some, the groom arrived. Then those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut. Later the rest of the virgins also came and said, Master, master, open up for us! But he replied, I assure you: I do not know you! Therefore be alert, because you don t know either the day or the hour." Matthew 25:10 13 HCSB

Now concerning that day and hour no one knows neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son except the Father only." Matthew 24:36 HCSB

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 18 HCSB

Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. NASB95P 2 Corinthians 5:6 8 ARA

In My Fathers house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also. You know the way to where I am going. John 14:1-2 HCSB

Lord, Thomas said, we dont know where You re going. How can we know the way? Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you know Me, you will also know My Father. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him. John 14:4-7 HCSB

When Jesus saw her crying, and the Jews who had come with her crying, He was angry in His spirit and deeply moved. John 11:33 HCSB

If Jesus was not troubled in some way, how could he thus be fully man?

I can be troubled in my spirit, but I should not be troubled in my heart.
