  1. Does Jesus Care When . . . Hebrews 2:14-18

  2. The TextBecause He Has Suffered, I Know He Cares Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted. 14 Heb. 2:14-18

  3. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long? This world has always been challenged by troubles Wars, famine, hurricanes, disasters, sickness, poverty, oppression Sometimes these press (think of Bible word, tribulation) down upon us The cares of this world distress us, we have no song to sing The way grows weary and long The question is, Does Jesus Care When I Have Troubles and No Song

  4. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus Care When I Have Troubles and No Song Jesus showed He does care in so many ways to so many people One example: Luke 24:13-35 His disciples world ended at the cross They said, We HAD hope there is no longer hope-- We have no song The power of the Scriptures Our hearts burned within us when He opened The way is weary and long but with His help we have hope and strength Remember to get the Big Picture There is Friday but wait until Sunday!

  5. Does Jesus Care When . . . The Question: Does Jesus Care The Answer: Sing This Song From Your Heart Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

  6. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near? Wars, famine, hurricanes, disasters, sickness, poverty, oppression, etc. are known These known burdens can be shared Other burdens are nameless and cannot be shared and we feel all alone When night comes troubles can seem greater The question is: Does He Care Enough to Be Near in my Loneliness

  7. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does He Care Enough to Be Near in my Loneliness Jesus knew loneliness Struggles with apostles lack of faith, then in Gethsemane One hour?? He could have called 10,000 angels, but He died alone Hebrews 2:16-17; 4:15 His promise was to send another Comforter whose words strengthen us Matt. 28:20; Phil. 4:5 When lonely and troubled cast all your cares on the lonely. troubled One

  8. Does Jesus Care When . . . The Question: Does Jesus Care The Answer: Sing This Song From Your Heart Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

  9. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long? One of life s greatest trouble is dealing with failure When we hurt others, we feel great burdens of guilt and failure Even more so when temptation overpowers us Forgetting His grace and mercy we sink into depression and endless tears There is no one on earth who can help us overcome this situation The question is: Does Jesus Care When I Have Failed and Have No Worth

  10. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus Care When I Have Failed and Have No Worth Jesus showed He does care in so many ways to so many people One example: Dealing With His Disciples, especially Peter--Luke 24:13-35 His disciples world ended at the cross and the tomb, the disciples shame We HAD hope there is no longer hope-- We have no song The power of the Scriptures Our hearts burned within us when He opened Life is meaningless when we make our grief greater than His grace Remember Jesus forgave Peter, would have forgiven Judas, and forgives you

  11. Does Jesus Care When . . . The Question: Does Jesus Care The Answer: Sing This Song From Your Heart Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

  12. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus care when I've said "goodbye"; To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see? Studies show that the greatest stress in life is death of a mate Perhaps the death of child is even greater When your dearest one is no longer there, hearts are saddened and empty Very few people can honestly say, I know how you feel Just hours/days after the funeral compassionate care ends, it is nothing to them The question is: Does He Care When Death Has Stolen My Joy

  13. Does Jesus Care When . . . Does Jesus Care When Death Has Stolen My Joy Ask Jairus whose child had died Ask the widow from Nain Ask Mary and Martha outside of Lazarus tomb Jesus wept, even though He knew Lazarus would be raised Jesus wept and His tears show us He cares Never be ashamed to weep; it shows how much we loved the deceased These empty tombs show Jesus cares, and assures that tombs of loved ones will be open. He saw the grief of Mary and Martha and He wept when He sees your tears know that He still weeps!

  14. Does Jesus Care When . . . The Question: Does Jesus Care The Answer: Sing This Song From Your Heart Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.
