  2. Intent of this session Review the recently published ITE inspection framework and handbook by Examining each section within Part 2 (pp10-33) including; Examination of the evaluation schedule (pp34-45) and; Examination of the leadership and Management section (pp46-54)

  3. Implementation of this Using the Draft ITE Inspection Framework as a reference, each section will be examined: notes will be taken to formulate a collective UCET response back to Ofsted Make use of the preparations for the University of Plymouth Pilot inspection scheduled for Mon 10 Feb 2020

  4. Impact of this review A comprehensive response from UCET will be given to Ofsted Members will gain a firmer understanding of the ITE framework and its limitations in relation its applicability to the FES sector Members will gain a firmer understanding of how the terms and meanings can be interpreted in the FES sector context.

  5. Starting with the intro to Part 2 (pp10-33) What Ofsted will and won t do and what they don t want (pp10-12) Preparation (pp14-15) and Information to be provided (pp12-14) The reflective and educationally focussed conversation (pp15-16) Information for inspectors (pp19-21) The inspection (pp21-29) Meeting stakeholders and others (pp24-28) The aftermath (pp29-33)

  6. Examination of the evaluation schedule (pp34-45) The way an overall judgment is reached (pp34-36) The quality of education and training including the grade descriptors (pp36-45)

  7. Examination of Leadership and Management (pp46-54) Leadership and Management including the grade descriptors (pp46-54)
