Impact of Tobacco Retail Outlet Density on Youth Smoking Risk in New Zealand
This study examines the correlation between the density of tobacco outlets around secondary schools in New Zealand and the prevalence of youth smoking behaviors, including current smoking, susceptibility to smoking, and tobacco purchasing. Results show varying adjusted odds ratios based on different retailer density zones, highlighting the potential influence of tobacco retail environments on youth smoking habits.

Aim of the study This study investigates whether the density of tobacco outlets around secondary schools in New Zealand (500m and 1000m) is associated with current smoking, susceptibility to smoking, and purchasing of tobacco.
