It assists Member States to meet their development needs through nuclear science, technology and innovation. TECHNICAL COOPERATION NUCLEAR SECURITY NUCLEAR ENERGY It aims to support the use of nuclear science and technology to address major sustainable development priorities at the national, regional and interregional level. It provides technical support on the nuclear fuel cycle and the life cycle of nuclear facilities It aims to protect people, society and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation
The Technical Cooperation Programme .aims at building, strengthening and maintaining human and institutional capacities; is the main mechanism to deliver assistance to IAEA Member States; .for the safe, secure and peaceful use of nuclear sciences and technology; supports priorities for sustainable national development.

Technical cooperation regional projects in Car RLA6081: Strengthening Human Capacities of Caribbean Countries in Radiation Medicine 2018-2021 RLA6088: Strengthening Radiation Medicine Services through Human Capacity Development, Improved Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Networking 2022-2025
Most of the Caribbean countries are providing diagnostic radiology services, and there are a few providers of radiotherapy and nuclear medicine services. RLA6081: Strengthening Human Capacities of Caribbean Countries in Radiation Medicine The problem Where necessary due to the lack of medical physicists, personnel available on-site (i.e. radiographers and technologists) perform basic quality control of radiology equipment and radiation safety and protection. The lack of national regulatory authorities has limited the reinforcement of quality control and radiation safety in medicine in the new Member States from the Caribbean.
