4. Introduction to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Oxygen is the human body s primary fuel accelerant. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ( HBOT ) is the medical use of oxygen in a pressurized environment, at a level higher than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA).
