  1. How to Apply for a Fence Approval Online For all your permitting needs without making a trip to City Hall

  2. To use our online system, please go to this link. www.palmcoastgov.com/eplanreview If you have never obtained a permit as an owner through the online portal, you will first need to create an account. Click - create new account

  3. Enter the basic information Email this will be your login Password must be at least 6 characters long, with 1 number and 1 capital letter. Choose account type property owner Enter your address and click Lookup Click the correct address and SAVE

  4. New account validation note will pop up for you to check your email and enter the validation code. Copy/past the validation code as it is very long. (TIP be sure not to copy any blank spaces before or after the code or it will not work). The email may take up to 15 minutes. If you do not receive the email, please call our office and we will activate your account for you. The email will come from sender notification user Copy the validation code Note be sure not to add any extra blank spaces when copying (in front or behind

  5. Paste the validation code Click Save Your account has been activated Click Save You will be brought back to the log in screen. Note if you experience trouble activating your account, please contact the office and we will activate it for you.

  6. Begin a Permit Application Packet Enter your login information Click NEW to create a new packet

  7. Choose your packet type (building permit) Choose Fence By owner Enter packet name - your choice Click Next

  8. Your address should populate Click Next Enter the description of your fence (see example on screen) Click Next Note you will see the tabs are no longer red once the data has been entered. As you move through, when the data fields have been completed, they will change colors.

  9. Enter any missing fields in owner information. Click Finish Note Only tabs colored red are required to be completed. You do not need to enter any information in the Applicant Info or Dimensions / Value tabs

  10. You will be taken back to the Home screen. Click the RED submit button The submit button will bring up the fence regulations for you to read. Please read the regulations and click OK when completed. If you have questions regarding the regulations, contact information is located at the bottom. Note: A permit is no longer required to be issued and inspected for fence installation

  11. Acknowledgement Form The Acknowledgement Form will display for your electronic signature. Click Click here to sign You will be prompted through a series of statements to acknowledge individually. After clicking the click to confirm box click OK

  12. The last prompt will be for your electronic signature. Sign with keyboard and click OK

  13. You will see the completed Acknowledgement Form with your signature at the bottom. Click OK to finish. Once completed, approval for proceeding with your project is granted. A permit is created for our database and tracking of the Acknowledgement Form.

  14. If you would like to view the regulations or document you signed, click the attachments tab at the bottom You can choose to view on the screen or download to print. Inspections for fences are no longer required. A fence not installed in accordance with the regulations will result in corrected action through the Code Enforcement Division.
